Course Dates: 23 February 2012 - 26 February 2012
Course No.: 112.525 | Course Tutors: Pat Trott
Full course description:
Beading is therapeutic, relaxing and very addictive. Many wonderful jewellery items can be made using needle, thread and beads. There are many different stitches and this course offers you the opportunity to learn some of them. We will begin with an introduction to the materials needed, an explanation of some of the stitches and the showing of many samples. Each different stitch will be demonstrated and the students encouraged to work at their own pace.
The additional costs depend upon what students need to buy from the tutor. Needles are 25p and beads start at £1 per packet.
Preparation for the Course:
Please bring as many of the following that you may already have, but please do not spend too much time trying to find these if you do not already have them, as the tutor can bring everything you will need, apart from scissors, for purchase during the course. She has a large range of beads.
* A pair of scissors.
* Beading needles.
* Nymo beading thread.
* Beeswax.
* Small seed beads, size 10 or 11.
* Bugle beads.
* Delica beads.
* Any accent beads you may have – i.e. 4mm faceted glass, semi precious chips, cubes, triangles, drops, or similar.
