Walking: Heath and River Rambles (5 Miles Approximately)

Course dates: 20 July 2015 - 22 July 2015

The full day walk starts near Thatcham and follows the Kennet and Avon Canal. Changing habitat, you will then venture to the sandy heathland of Greenham Common reserve. Further on you'll enter Bowden Woods, which includes once-abandoned areas now thriving with wildlife, and chances to spot graceful fritillary butterflies in the dappled glades. The walk concludes along river and canal, followed by a visit to the lakes at the local nature discovery centre. There will be a short local walk on the morning of the final day.
