With over 500 day and residential courses to choose from, across our cookery, craft and lifestyle options, Denman offers one of the widest ranges of short courses in the UK. There may be similar courses on offer that cost less, but they also offer less, and come without the sheer comfort and hidden delights of the Denman experience. 

Choose from day schools or two to four night residential courses, presided over by tutors with vast experience in their field and a passion for imparting their knowledge to others. Courses range from novice to experienced. Everyone is welcome — men and women, members and non-members. We also cater for groups or friends or hen parties looking for something a bit different. There’s even a range of cookery courses for families, so the smaller members of the family can get hands on. There are regular class reunion events that enable you to stay in touch with the friends you’re sure to make on a Denman course.

The top-of-the-range suite of rooms that make up The Studios has every possible facility and resource for our students, from user-friendly computer workstations to purposed art and craft workshops, and our bright and comfortable lecture theatres have full audio-visual facilities. Facilities for disabled students are also readily available. Throughout the year we feature special events, such as our famed Jam Festival, and guest speakers, including renowned authors and chefs. 

The WI Cookery School can accommodate thirteen students at a time, each with their own comprehensively appointed cooking bay, fitted with the latest in technology from British appliance manufacturer Stoves and a full range of equipment. There is also a choice of gas or electric hobs, so students can use the heat source they’re most familiar with at home. The WI Cookery School staff pre-prepares all ingredients, so students can spend more time cooking and less time chopping or weighing out.
