DENMAN BURSARIES 2012/13

We have recently allocated most of the 2012/13 bursaries however the following bursaries are still available.  Applications are invited from WI members to reach us by 15 October 2012.

Kathleen Mary Hughes

Miss Hughes generously bequeathed a legacy for college bursaries for any courses associated with the countryside or conservation.  Two bursaries are available to cover the full fee for a 2 or 3 night course.

Dr Ernest Walker

Two bursaries for members attending a music course to cover the travelling expenses only for members living more than 200 miles from the college up to a maximum of £150.

Freda Barnicoat Travel Bursary

Available this year only and donated by John Barnicoat in memory of his late wife to help with travel costs for members living a minimum distance of 150 miles from the college to help with travel costs, up to a maximum of £100 per individual.

In your letter please give the following details:

• Your full name, contact details, WI and Federation
• Which bursary you would like to apply for
• Whether you have been to Denman before and is so, if you have received a bursary from Denman in the past
• How you would benefit from the course
• The number and title of the course you would like to attend (if known) if your application is successful, otherwise the course can be chosen at a later date
• Any accommodation of dietary needs should your application be successful

NOTES
• Bursaries are available for individuals on open courses only.
• Bursaries may not be applied to courses already booked.
• The travel bursary cannot be awarded in addition to the course bursary.
