Choose from our one day masterclasses covering craft skills such as breadmaking, patisserie, knife skills and fish preparation. Our popular dinner party classes will give you great ideas for entertaining and you can also discover a world of exciting cookery on one of our classes in international cuisine.
Day courses typically run from 10:00am to 4.30pm and include coffee and pastries on arrival, lunch and afternoon tea.
Our longer courses are a perfect way to immerse yourself in a subject. We run two, three, or four-night courses on a large range of cookery subjects so if you want to know all there is to know about fish, or you would like a course that covers the core skills that every good cook should know, then you are sure to find something suitable here.
With 69 en-suite bedrooms the majority of our students stay on site for the duration of their course, however students are welcome to take part in courses on a non-residential basis in which case a reduction in the course price is offered.
The prices quoted for residential courses include all tuition, accomodation, and meals while staying at the Cookery School.
For busy food lovers who are unable to make it to our full day or longer courses, we run shorter evening classes. It's the perfect way to wind down after a day at work! We run regular Dinner Express classes where participants cook a three-course meal in two hours, which they then sit down to enjoy at the end of the class. Every class has a different theme. One month it may be Italian, the next Middle Eastern and prices start at £53 including tuition and dinner at the end of the class. Classes usually start at 6.30pm and finish at 9.30pm. Check our course programme for the latest events.
There's nothing better than the smell of freshly baked cakes filling the air on a Sunday morning. So why not attend the WI Sunday Morning Bakery? A class for cake lovers to get together and try new recipes under the guidance of our tutors, all the spoils are shared out at the end so everybody goes away with a selection of goodies for tea. Classes start at 10am and finish at 1pm.
