Greenland feels like a land forgotten by almost everyone. Very few people live there, and it’s a geographic and political backwater that rarely shows up in world history. Still: occasionally something happens, e.g. when the USA suddenly want to buy the whole lot from Denmark. Greenland has played its role in history and is set to become an important strategic and economic region. As the polar icecaps are gradually disappearing, extracting natural resources is becoming more of a real possibility going forward.

With this in mind, let’s explore this stunning island sitting calmly on the icy shores of the Northern Oceans.

This talk is a repeat of Tilo's lecture from Spring 2021, for those who missed it, or who just fancy coming along again!
