A fun workshop of drumming and body beats. Drumming fulfils a very primal need in most of us and is a powerful way of making music with other people. Working in a drum circle, you will start with rhythm games and body beats, and end with polyrhythms and pile ups. This is a workshop for beginners or those with some experience. Heather will provide a selection of hand percussion and drums including djembes, tubano, cajons and darbuka, as well as bins and drumsticks, and percussion instruments from around the world. Feel free to bring along a favourite drum.
