You’ve been researching your family tree and you’ve discovered some fascinating stories. Or maybe you want to write about your own life, to share with your grandchildren. This session will give you some ideas and inspire you to take those first steps. 

The session will cover how to choose your subject, how to get started, making your characters come to life, tips on organising your material, using pictures and timelines, the basics of copyright, and ways to share and publish your story.

You will learn how to write stories that people will want to read, and make sure all your memories and family stories aren’t forgotten.

You will need to have access to the Internet to carry out your research, and the course will assume that you are comfortable searching and using websites.

The recording link will be included at the bottom of your confirmation email after you have registered and you’ll be able to view immediately.
