Nuno felting is a process that brings together the soft drape of silk or muslin and the vibrancy and texture of lovely soft merino wool. Join Sue for this demonstration in creating some lovely nuno fabrics that would good on any catwalk to create and experiment with, making various designs for scarves and fabric lengths.

 

Materials/Equipment you will need:

An old hand towel

Two pieces of plastic bubble wrap 50cm by 50cm

A pool noodle or piece of pipe insulation foam

Remnant of curtain voile maximum size 60cm by 60cm

A bar of Olive oil soap or some Ecover washing up liquid

A small bowl for water

A half litre plastic milk bottle with holes made in the screw lid

Scissors

Fine Merino wool

Silk, gauze, muslin

An old silk chiffon scarf and/or pieces of silk
