In 563 Columba, a Christian Irish aristocrat was banished from sight of Ireland and settled with his followers on the beautiful Island of Iona. From there the brand of Irish Celtic Christianity spread through Northern Britain. He also had the first recorded encounter with the Loch Ness Monster!
