Julius Caesar is one of Shakespeare’s greatest tragedies, replete with phrases and ideas which have permeated the English language.  But behind the “soundbites” we know so well is a tightly crafted drama, exploring complex themes of power, treachery, honour and loyalty, as well as the frightening force of “the mob” incited to violence.  Join Simon as he explores some of these themes, along with readings of key passages from the play.
