Oman is a fascinating and surprisingly varied place that holds many interesting subjects to talk about. Dhofar is distinctly different from the areas further north, along the Gulf of Oman. The southern province has a lot more in common with its neighbours to the West across the border in Yemen, and many connections with the African coastal regions. Expect some surprising revelations!
