Denman is a registered charity and located in a Grade II listed building. All donations go towards the maintenance of the house and grounds.

The NFWI Board is grateful to federations, WIs and individual members for their support to Denman.  We are in a much better position than two years ago when the college incurred a large deficit. The courses and most events have been successfully filling and the Saving Denman Appeal has brought in almost £500,000. With regular fundraising, even when the Appeal finishes in March 2018, and if the courses continue attracting sufficient numbers as they have been doing since 2016, the Board is confident that Denman will have a future and can serve today’s and future generations of women.

Saving Denman Appeal
To mid June 2018, the Appeal has raised £663,155! Thanks to everyone who has supported us so far!

Since the news of the college’s financial position was announced at Autumn National Council in 2015, many members have expressed their wishes to raise funds to support the future of Denman. A fundraising initiative was brought to the Denman Committee by a WI member from Wiltshire, Christine Hounslow, who is a Denman Ambassador and Guide. As a result the NFWI Board of Trustees agreed that Christine will take on a leading role in the appeal and will be a focal point for feedback. This appeal is aimed at federations, WIs and individuals. The money raised will be used for ongoing maintenance of the buildings and grounds. The Appeal will close at the end of March 2018.

My Denman

"Thank you Denman! I enjoyed my knowing and growing herbs course very much. As a non WI member it was a different experience for me but a very positive one. A very comfortable place to come to if participating in a course on your own. I was very quickly made to feel welcome and the whole ethos of the WI came to the forefront. I have a major project at home in my garden and some confidence to begin the task. The food was wonderful, well done to the kitchen staff. I know I am a fussy eater but there was a fab choice of food - thank you."
