In this two-part tutorial taking place over 2 consecutive Friday afternoons at 2pm (from Friday 23rd October 2020 - Friday 30th October 20220), you will learn how to make your own beautiful suffragette doll with her elegant coat, bespoke hat and sash in traditional purple, green and white colours. You can also use the pattern with alternative colours to make an Edwardian style costume doll.
This course will take place over 2 weekly sessions:
Part One (Friday 23rd October 2020 at 2pm) - will demonstrate how to make the doll figure, including the face and hair.
Part Two (Friday 30th October 2020 at 2pm) - will show you how to make her skirt, wool felt coat and hat, and how to print a ‘Votes for Women’ sash and hat band.
This session is designed as a demonstration with Q&A and will show you step by step how to make this doll. A list of materials, pattern and instructions will be provided for both sessions, along with the reversed text to print your sash and hat band. This project is suitable for those with some experience of sewing. The demonstration will include machine sewing and hand sewing. The doll can also be made entirely by hand, but this will take you longer.
Zoom Log in plus instructions and list of materials will be included at the bottom of your confirmation email after you have registered.
