The canals arrived in London in the 1820s and for the first time in history goods and fuel could be brought into the capital from all parts of the country in large barges. This course traces the history of London’s canals and includes a day exploring Little Venice, towpath walks and a visit to the Canal Museum at King’s Cross. Please note: This out and about course involves a reasonable amount of walking, therefore good mobility and stamina are required.
