Learn the extraordinary story behind the greatest theatre the world has known. When Shakespeare and his actors built the Globe in 1599 they took drama, language and ideas into a new realm.

Over the weekend we will look at the astonishing plays Shakespeare wrote for the Globe (including Hamlet and Macbeth), his actors, audiences and the theatrical world of the late 16th Century. We will also discuss its enduring impact on our culture today. The teacher works at the new Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and is a published author and an actor.
