Join Patricia for a fascinating stroll along the river Thames in central London to learn about the importance of the river for Londoners now and in the past. Listen to stories of eminent Londoners and see the ruins of an ancient palace. Find out how London changed drastically in the 19C due to disease, power and industry. Enjoy great views of the river and imagine life along the river Thames in past times through the stories of a Blue Badge Guide.
About your tour guide:
Patricia Gentry has been a professional Blue Badge Guide and lecturer for more than 20 years now. She has an MA degree in Japanese and Japanese history and works as a guide in many of London’s historic sites and museums in 5 languages. Her interests are wide and she does many guided tours on British history, art and gardens.
Walking distance: approximately 2 miles. There will be extended periods of walking and standing for the duration of the tour so stamina for this duration is a must.
