More investigations into the private lives of English words. The course is particularly tailored to further the interests of those who enjoyed the introductory ‘What’s In a Word?’ courses.  Although if you didn’t attend any of the first series you would still be welcome and able to participate in this extended version – you only need to be interested in and have some experience in looking at the origins of words. Using online resources to research the semantics, interrelationships and origins of a variety of simple and compound words. Developing a variety of word trails , some leading to or from PIE (Proto-IndoEuropean) roots. Subsequent presentations and discussions will be important and interesting parts of the sessions.
